If the thermal limiter is open you need to disassemble drier and clean out every part of it. That means to wash out all parts except motor which you vacuum out. The high limit t-stat has two red wires attached to it according to wiring diagrams, but the wires could be any color. This t-stat is located on the duct leaving the flame chamber. There are other t-stats that can also stop the drier from working and the only way to know if they are bad is with an ohm meter. When you have drier apart you should test all of them. They should read zero ohms. If you put them in boiling water they should open, but don't do this with the high limit as it will burn it out. The number on t-stat gives you the opening temp. When you replace it try to buy a resettable t-stat. A good parts man should be able to find you one. These t-stats are all pretty much the same in the way they mount with two screws and they are oval in shape. Make sure to check your exhaust vent and clean it out, too. DrTom4444
