Do I need to be present for the reading and do I have to sign any documents ,

Depends on whether you are a beneficiary of the will. The "reading" of the will is not a legal necessity. You need to check with your local probate court to see if it has been filed.

Limit your question to only one thread please.

Has a probate case been filed? Check the court file to determine if a will was filed.

If not, and you don't know if there was a will, it will be hard to prove a will, absent a copy or other convincing evidence.

Go to the Court that probates Wills in your area and ask.

Now it's 3 threads on this issue.

And counting.

It's also helpful if the same information is posted in both threads.
