hi I'm really confused? I've had the coil for about 3 years now and everything has been fine with it I've always had very regular periods but this time I was due on my period and had the period pains/mood swings etc and all the build up of coming on and then it went away. No period.
I am about a week late now and I'm never ever late. I "feel" pregnant. Its exactly the same kind of feeling I had when I was pregnant with my 3 year old.
I've had a few symptoms of pregnancy but its hard to tell as when I was having my 3 year old I didn't really get any bad symptoms of pregnancy. No morning sickness or anything like that (I was lucky)
I've done a few home pregnancy tests and they came back negative so I'm confused?? To sum it up...

no period + coil + feelings of pregnancy + negative pregnancy test =?? Could somebody please help me pleaseeeeeeeeee!!

Are you taking the pregnancy test using first morning urine?

Hi, yes I used my first wee this morning but test was negative. I've read on the net today someone said having the coil can cause negative result even if you are pregnant. Do you know anything about this? I have an appointment tonight at the family planning clinic where they fitted my coil. I think ill need a blood test to determine whether I'm pregnant or not. X

I agree with a blood test. It should indeed be your next step.
