Good morning,
I have a couple of questions.
About a month ago, I started having a lot of abdominal pain , so I went to the hospital, they did a serise of test, ( urine, x-rays and ultrasound ), they advised me that my IUD copper t was a little low. She checked me to see if she can feel my strings, and she was not able to, she then went on to see if she could acutally see them, she was not able to. She told me to wait a month and do a fallow up, I went 5 days ago for my fallow up, I had a different doctor and he told me my IUD is low in my canal and I have a Right ovarian Cyst but was not advised at my last visit since it was visible. He didn't seem concerned and did not recheck me to see if they could feel my strings or see them visualy again, he did not explain if I'm still protected against pregnancy. So. Would my iud expelling cause a cyst and my iud being low in my canal am I still protected against pregnancy?
Thank you

You have to go back and ask a lot more questions, be more proactive about your condition then you appear to be. If it was my personal feminine health, then I would have wanted to know FROM THE PERSON TREATING ME and after you had gone through all the trouble of going to the hospital, just what he/she thought was the problem and how to treat it. It sounds to me like you have had that IUD in possibly far too long without having it checked out (did you think it was going to last forever in there?).

We can diagnose here on AMHD, NA, so you had better go back to start asking a lot of questions that can't be answer here.

I've had my IUd in for a year and a half, I've gottan it checked 3 times already , first time was 6 months after as advised and now 2 others. I ovviously know its not going to be in there for ever... And I did ask the appropriate questions, but got no appropriate answers as to my "condition". Ill just go see my OBGYN I'm sure she would be more then happy to answer my questions. Since I already have an appointment with her next week. I would have appriciated a little more sympathy and answers to easy my mind, that's why I asked. But thanks anyway's.

Thanks for telling us a little more of your information. You have to realize that you didn't really explain much, and it was disjointed, not leading anywhere as if you were confused about your condition.

As I said, we don't diagnose, don't know you or your previous medical conditions, etc. so how can we actually tell you point blank what the problems is. All we can say is, please see your doctor.

You didn't sound proactive regarding your own health.
