We hang out a lot together but not romantically involved. He calls a lot and we go out to dinner, concerts, and hang out at each other's house (mine more than his). I made a comment the other night, that I had taken his advice about some suggestions he made. I said, "see, I do listen to you. You have influenced me. He responded, "yeah, that's not the kind of influence I'd like to have".

Seems like he likes you, but that he could have meant anything. Tried asking him?

You need to ask him that-I'm going to assume he likes you,but he's the only one who can tell you what he means.

You response should have been, "What does that mean?".
