My ex wife had a daughter of 3 months when I met her. I brought the child up as my own.after 8 years of marrige we divorced and I did not see my stepdaughter at all because I was told I was not her proper dad. I've just got in contact again with my stepchild who is 16 this tear and she told me when I moved her mother put her into care because she could not cope with her.I have married again and now have 4 step chilldren who I plan to adopt, my step daughter wonts me to adopt her as well. Is it possible to do this and have her part of my life again. Many thanks ian

Where are you located? Laws vary by region.

You'll have to go through the courts to make sure the adoption is done legally, but I don't see why you wouldn't be able to adopt her.
