My last boss put quit on my record of employment which he should have put other not returning because sold business so there for I had been dinied emplyment emsurance I had to appeal their decision and prove that he lied wich I did prove it and won appeal because of all this I have been unemployed for 5 months very stressed and health problems do to strees and I'm just wondering if I can sue him for defamation of character for the stress and anxiety and lost wedges because of his lie?

No, first you are not of employment, this did not stop you from going and getting another job.
Many companies in the US deny your unemployment when it first applies, and makes you appeal. They hope you don't appeal and it does not go against them.
Next what "wedges ' assume you mean wages did you lose, you got all of your unemployment if you won your appeal.

The fact is, your boss didn't lie about you, and that lie didn't harm you in any way. You won your appeal, and the appeal had nothing to do about who you are, or your character. This is not what's preventing you from getting a job.
You have no case for defamation.
