I did not put in a resume when I applied, could that be the problme? I also did all the applications via internet exepct the one for the pizza shop. Am I spouse to call them after I send the application in? I am lost, please give me the proper steps in appling and getting the job I am a master at interviewing so I don't need help with that. Thanks

A resume is very important. It shows the employer your past history, and shows that you're eager for the job. Applications are okay, but it's always best to include a resume.

A call back is important, even if you hand in your resume in person. Call, tell them your name, that you're interested in the position they're trying to fill, and ask if you can set up an interview. Show them that you're interested in the job.

Two weeks is nothing. The job market isn't great right now. People with college degrees are working at Wendy's because they can't find a job anywhere else. This is your first job, and I assume you don't have a college degree, so you'll have to work harder to get a job, and you'll have to make sure that you have a great resume, great interview skills, and are eager to work once you get the job. Show them that you really want to work.

Apply in person. Pick up the app and take it home to fill out, if you need to, then turn it back in in person. Forget online submission.

All those jobs are customer service ones. They need to know what you look like and act like and sound like. (A friend's son has a pierced tongue, can't be understood when he talks, so hasn't yet found a customer service or retail job. Wonder why not.)

Your spelling and punctuation are terrible, so please ask someone who is a good writer to help you with your app before you turn it in. This may be what is hurting you.

There are on average about 100 applications for any one job open, at some jobs like McDonalds there may well be 300 or more applications.

If you are not applying at 10 or more places a day, you are not seriously looking yet. After you apply online, drop by the store and leave a resume if possible, Go in places and actually file out a application ( used at many entry level jobs.)
