I wanted to know can I do it w/o the dpg? Can I do it w/ just Eucerin lotion?.Also, can someone tell me the calculations to make a 10% batch of HQ%?

Thanks

Yes you can use eucerin in place of DPG since the Eucerin has dpg in it. To make a 10% batch of hq, you'll need to have 9 parts Eucerin and one part hq. The parts need to be equal. Put a pot of water on the stove (you may not use this pot for cooking again) and put the eucerin in a glass. Place the glass full of eucerin in the pot, but make sure the water in the pot reaches the same level as the eucerin. Place a wrap on top of the glass of eucerin, and poke a small hole on the top. You will need to heat the lotion until it reaches 175 degrees. After it reaches that, take it off the stove, and remove the wrap. Pour the hq in the Eucerin and stir until fully dissolved. Place the mixture in an opaque bottle immediately and store in cool, dark area. You will need to work quick so that the hq will not oxidize. Hope this helps

Also, make sure you're protected, with gloves, goggles and all

Do not get the cream! Get the lotion, the most basic one. You can get the bottle from target in the baking section.. Parts mean anything you want. You can do 90ml of solvent and 10 grams of hq. You could do by tbs too. The idea is that you must be consistent with the measurements if that makes sense

Buy a stone mortar and pestle online. You can use it to grind hydroquinone or kojic acid crystals. Put the crystals in the mortar and using the pestle grind up those crystals until they are no longer crystals... turning them into a fine powder. After add the powder to any product you like. I tried this and it worked pretty good because I had a hard time with the other method.
