I am 23 this year and had an abortion last June. Ever since, my periods have been showing up black, thick, and lighter than normal. I haven't questioned my doctor yet because every time I go to see him I am not on my period and therefore completely forget to ask. I am also on birth control and have been since the abortion. However, I switched brands in between these past 12 months. Within that time as well I suffered from severe stomach pain which lasted a day and shortly after, had 3 periods in a matter of 4 weeks! I was not on the pill at this point and is the reason I went back on. My question really is...
Based on my history, why are my periods black? And,
What do you think this stomach pain couldve been? (it was pain around the appendix... doctor said possible appendicitus) could that have anything to do with the following 3 periods?
