I live in Nevada where the payment of child support terminates at either 18 yrs of age (age of majority)or up to a maximum age of 19, if a student is enrolled in, but has not yet completed high school. My daughter, who is 18 yrs old, graduated from high school on June 10,2011. My child support payment is due on June 15th. Can I prorate my child support payment through June 10th or do I have to pay through June 30th? Thank you for your help.

What is the exact wording of the child support order on the issues? For example, "... shall pay CS for each month during which ..." might mean you would pay the entire June payment. But I doubt you will get away with pro rating.

The exact wording is "child support for subsequent months shall be due on the fifteenth day of each calendar month". Thanks again for your response.

The last payment is for the final "month". And quite frankly if it is now behind you and all arrears have been paid in full I wouldn't even bother with the hassle and just get it over with.

I take this answer to mean that the decree doesn't say anything else about how long CS is payable. Therefore its probable that, since on the first of June the child met the conditions, it's payable for June.
