I think you will find that the owners manual gives you limits of length. Not sure 30' will work, that's a lot of back pressure and water may tend to collect in it, raising dry times. The longest I have worked on was 15' and it plugged up on occasions.

If you are running a flexible bent or semiridgid metal the distance is half what the manufater says on the manual, if it is a ridgid metal you can run all the length allowed by manufactur but there are brands that allow 60 feet but an average is around 20 with no ridgid and 40 with ridgid material, always metal.

You will need a booster fan to go that far. Look and see if you can find another way that will keep the distance at 3 feet or less. Even with a booster fan the entire drier will clog with lint build-up much faster and you will have to clean it often. DrTom4444

According to Whirlpool with rigid venting and no turns you can vent your dryer 64ft. With flexible venting and now turns you can vent it 36ft.

The other writers have good points. I cannot imagine not being able to shorten the distance to 5 feet or less. You have to remember you have a fire hazard and there must be a way to go through a wall to the outside. That distance would require at least 2-3 booster fans and still you will have clogs. DrTom4444
