I have an obselete honeywell t834c2499 thermostat & am installing a new hunter thermostat model 44155. Old thermostat has blue wire=B green=G red=R yellow=Y white=W and a red wire jumper between 1 & 2. New stat has Y1, W/B, Y/O. RH, RC, and G with a jumper between RH & RC, directions say to remove the jumper for 5 wire installations, and I have 5 wires. As soon as I think I have it figured out, something throws me & my mind goes to spaghetti-can anyone help? Where do the old wires go? Please-it is hot in Texas & a/c folks are either booked solid or hiding inside in the a/c! :-) any help would be greatly appreciated!

It's a shame to go through all this and then (if lucky) have to do it all over within 6 months. Take the Hunter junk back where you got it ,pay a little extra and get yourself another Honeywell. You won't have to worry about it for years to come.

Don't know if it will help much, but Mostlty I see red for power, green for blower, white for heat, yellow and blue for cool.
