Or how politicians need to keep their pants on.
Weinergate-married-congressmans-twitter-account-shares-lewd-photo
New York Democratic Rep. Anthony Weiner's Twitter account produced a shocking photograph Friday night. In a tweet directed to a Washington State woman, the married congressman linked to a photo of a man in underwear with a visible erection.
Big Government first reported that the congressman, who is believed to be interested in running for New York City mayor, tweeted the link to his Twitter-connected Yfrog account.
Four minutes after the tweet, Weiner complained that his Tivo had mis-recorded a hockey game.
Weiner then deleted the lewd tweet and wrote, “Tivo shot. FB hacked. Is my blender going to attack me next? #TheToasterIsVeryLoyal.” There are no indications that the congressman's Facebook account was tampered with.
The woman who the tweet was directed at deleted her account, and was not originally identified by Big Government. However, the tweet was located independently by other bloggers, who identified the Twitter handle of the woman.
The blog Ironic Surrealism found a second account believed to be the same woman. She is a journalism student at Whatcom Community College in Washington State.
The woman's original account tweeted to Weiner on April 9, “I wonder what my boyfriend @RepWeiner is up to right now,” according to a screenshot taken from Topsy by Ironic Surrealism. The account's cached contents were cleared Saturday.
Weiner was married less than one year ago to Huma Abedin, a longtime aide to Hillary Clinton.
If the photo turns out to be the congressman, it would come following revelations this year that former New York Republican Rep. Chris Lee sent photos of himself to women found on Craigslist, possibly including transgender women.
Fellow Twitter users have dubbed the episode #Weinergate. The congressman has yet to confirm whether he is pictured in the photograph.

House rules say that if an account used by a Representative gets hacked ,that Rep. must report it to the Capitol police . He has not done so yet .
Evidently it is possible to put a picture on someone else's Twitter acct without technically "hacking " . Not sure how it works ,but it has something to do with knowing Weiner's yfrog acct. password (if he even has one).
Still ;if someone other than Weiner posted the picture I would think the House rules would still apply just for the security aspects alone.

New York congressman: 'The picture was of me, I sent it' (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/43299964/ns/politics-capitol_hill/t/website-says-weiner-sent-shirtless-photo-woman/?GT1=43001)
WASHINGTON — After days of denials, a choked-up New York Democratic Rep. Anthony Weiner confessed Monday that he tweeted a bulging-underpants photo of himself to a young woman. "The picture was of me, I sent it," he told a room full of reporters in Manhattan.
Weiner said he intended to send the picture as a joke, but "I panicked, I took it down and said that I had been hacked."
A conservative website that last week started a furor over that lewd image posted new photos Monday purportedly from a second woman who said she received shirtless shots of the congressman.
Weiner, who said he has no intentions of resigning, also admitted to additional, questionable online behavior.
Weiner said he has had "several inappropriate conversations with women I have met online," he approximated that there had been "about six women over the past three years." He said many of the exchanges took place before his marriage, but others happened more recently.
Weiner insisted the relationships never moved beyond online interactions. "I have never met any of these women ... I've never had sex outside of my marriage."
The lawmaker said he does not believe that he used government property or congressional time to send these online messages. "I don’t believe I did anything here that violates any law or violates my oath to my constituents."
Just another Democrat pervert to celebrate. Oh, and didn't someone say Breitbart never tells the truth?

Here's the difference in my view, their responses.
Vitter: "This was a very serious sin in my past for which I am, of course, completely responsible. Several years ago, I asked for and received forgiveness from God and my wife in confession and marriage counseling. Out of respect for my family, I will keep my discussion of the matter there — with God and them. But I certainly offer my deep and sincere apologies to all I have disappointed and let down in any way."

There's another factor at work here that you guys seem to miss... When a guy holds himself out to be holier than thou, and it turns out that he's NOT holier than thou, it's normal for people to CHEER when he takes a fall..
However, when a normal guy turns out to BE normal, people don't like him, but they don't CHEER over his fall. Frankly, I could FORGIVE a guy who is LIKE me.. But, I can't forgive a guy who is LIKE me, but PRETENDS he's sooooooo much better... I LOVE to see him take a fall.

Weiner normal ? Sorry ;it is not normal behavior to send lewd photos and have virtual sexual encounters with other women on line .It's abnormal ; and it's dangerous for many reasons for an elected Rep to display such obsessive compulsive behavior . I'd have to investigate the law to see if his behavior crossed the line.

Hello again,
Let's not get off track here. What's normal here, is not HOW one's sexual proclivities emerge, but that one HAS sexual proclivities in the FIRST place... What's NORMAL, is that we, as a species, dillydally. It's ABNORMAL to deny it.
Worse than that, it's hypocritical to say you will NEVER dillydally, because you're BETTER than that, and then you get caught dillydallying..
To me, that is a much worse offense than anything Anthony Weiner did.
Let me tell you why. It's because people who LIE about their own sexual proclivities, and pass LAWS that require everybody else to live up to what THEY themselves DON'T live up to, is WRONG, HYPOCRITICAL, and highly DANGEROUS for the country.

Hypocrisy thy name is Weiner
From his web site :
Along with several colleagues in Congress, we introduced & passed the KIDS (Keeping the Internet Devoid of Sexual Predators) Act of 2007, a bill to require sex offenders to register their e-mail and instant message addresses with the National Sex Offender Registry.. .
Sadly, the Internet is the predator's venue of choice today. We need to update our strategies and our laws to stop these offenders who are a mere click away from our children.

Anthony Weiner - New York's 9th District (http://www.weiner.house.gov/issue_display.aspx?id=844)
Now there's no evidence that he's a predator . There is also no evidence he was sure of the age of the women he was sexting . Either way his behavior can be interpreted as at least borderline sexual harassment .
During one Facebook chat conversation, Broussard said she voiced uneasiness with the electronic relationship, to which she says Weiner replied, "you are not stalking me....I am stalking you."

It is being reported at various sites that the Dems are reassigning the Representative's office personel . If he shows up for work today he may have no staff.
If he shows up for work today chances are his license plates are expired, and maybe not even on the right vehicle. Seems the Weiner man has failed to love his state enough to pay his registration fees for the past several years, and even borrowed some from another vehicle.
Rep. Anthony Weiner's Nissan Pathfinder is unregistered, DMV says (http://www.nydailynews.com/news/politics/2011/06/13/2011-06-13_dmv_sez_his_suv_unregistered.html#ixzz1PBuEplyL )
"Lying about sexting apparently isn't Rep. Anthony Weiner's only gray area.
When Weiner (D-Queens, Brooklyn) was photographed by the Daily News fleeing the Capitol in his Nissan Pathfinder, it was clear the July 2007 registration sticker in his window was expired, and there was no inspection sticker to be seen. Weiner, through a staffer, said the 1988 Nissan Pathfinder was registered in New York State.
Not so, said the state Department of Motor Vehicles.
The New York license plate bolted on Weiner's Pathfinder - US Congress 9 - had expired as of 2006, according to the DMV.
"That license plate should not be on a car," a DMV spokeswoman said. It wasn't even issued to the Pathfinder, but to another one of Weiner's cars, a Honda, according to vehicle records.
Valid plates were issued to Weiner's Pathfinder, but they don't have the helpful words "US Congress" on them, and so look less official. It's unclear what happened to those plates.
Driving a car with expired plates, let alone those pulled off another vehicle, meant Weiner's Pathfinder was unregistered, according to the DMV.
"Switching around license plates is what criminals do," noted a retired Brooklyn accident investigator. "If you are a congressman, you aren't supposed to be switching out your plates. I guess that's the least of his worries."
What a guy.

Too many jokes available on that front, but I do think the husband of the woman trying to battle obesity should avoid public chili dog runs (http://content.usatoday.com/communities/theoval/post/2011/06/obama-makes-hot-dog-run-in-toledo/1).

Before talking about the car industry -- as well as today's bad jobs report -- President Obama made a pit stop in Toledo to grab a chili dog.
Obama dined with Toledo Mayor Michael Bell and other local officials at Rudy's Hot Dog, which reportedly sells 8,000 chili dogs a week.
We're told the president ordered the house specialty: A dog with mustard, onion, chili sauce and cheese. Obama also had a bowl of chili and fries on the side.
Sounds good to me, I mean pour the chili on the fries and top them with onions and cheese, too, but not a very healthy meal. The least he could have done was top it with some arugula.

He really gives obese children someone to look up to.

Obama looks pretty fit to me. Maybe Michelle's target audience are the multituude of obese people in the US.

Al Gore to the rescue ! Weiner has no other prospects for gainful employment except to be a flame thrower on Current TV alongside Keith Olberman.
Keith Olbermann hints at Anthony Weiner talk show on Al Gore's network - Political Hotsheet - CBS News (http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-503544_162-20072106-503544.html)

He formally resigned yesterday .
Sept 13 is the special election date to replace him;which means the party bosses will select his replacement.
Cuomo can prove me wrong by allowing candidates to gather petitions to get on the ballot. But that's not likely. He holds all the cards on this call.
All the Constitution does is say the Governor must call for an election
Article 1 Sec 2
When vacancies happen in the Representation from any State, the Executive Authority thereof shall issue Writs of Election to fill such Vacancies.
It doesn't say how the election is to be conducted .

It's temporary anyway.. NY has to downsize ONE congressional district, and I'll bet they pick that one. You're a New Yorker. What do you think?

Indeed I think his district will be gerrymandered out of existence . They've already carved away the Republican districts of any influence except Pete King's .
It's amazing how it works . I am in Eliot Engel's Bronx district even though I live 2 counties away on the other side of the Hudson River. To make the counties meet they ran the district up the thin stretch of real estate along the MetroNorth Railroad 'Hudson River Line' tracks that hugs the east side of the Hudson river... and had it cross the Tappan Zee Bridge .

Someone take the smartphones away from Democrats... or not.
Louis Magazzu, Democrat New Jersey freeholder, resigns after nude photos, sexts surface (http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/2011/08/03/2011-08-03_louis_magazzu_democrat_new_jersey_freeholder_re signs_after_nude_photos_sexts_sur.html#ixzz1U0O8qP jZ)
It's Anthony Weiner, Jersey edition.
Garden State Democrat Louis Magazzu announced his resignation Tuesday after nude pictures he sent to a woman he had been corresponding with were posted on a Republican activist's website.
At least two of the photos showed the Cumberland County freeholder's crotch, two showed him dressed to the nines in a suit, and a fifth showed him waist up without a shirt.
The tawdry photos - taken in front of a mirror with a smartphone - are similar to those that led to Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-Queens-Brooklyn) to call it quits in June.
He claims he was set up, but come dude why are you sending nude pics of yourself to people you've never met anyway?

Yeah... exactly... He sent them... but I suppose its Bushes fault. He's a democrat, they blame him for everything they do themselves..
