Black mite is a term used for a bird mite. They are ectoparasites which lives outside the host. A black pepper mite's habitat is animal nests because they feed on the blood of birds or rodents. To get rid of black pepper mites you have to find and remove the nest away from your house. Thoroughly clean all rooms where mites are present. Wash all surfaces with a mild detergent or you can use insecticides which are much safer to use in a home around people.

I have been battling these bastards for going on 2 years now. I recently found a product that is a lot more safer to use on your entire body. ivermectin is poison & does not work on these critters, I know. Used this & took the pills, 14 days apart. Did nothing, STUPID QUACKS. Thank God I finally found a safe product that seems to be working miracles for me so I'm telling everyone who will listen. Using it right now as I am typing. It's a product from Crabtree & Evelyn - called CITRON, honey & coriander skin indulging body suffle. I'll be honest, it's not cheap at $34.99 for 7.9 oz jar. By accident I came across a sample they were giving away for free. Forgot about it until one day I was scrubbing my face with hand sanitzer. (another good product to give you some peace). Needed a moisturizer and grabbed CITRONE. Within 3 minutes I noticed THINGS coming out of my face DEAD! It took me a little while to finally buy it, being out of work but THANK YOU JESUS it seems to be working. Don't be afraid because you are going to have different color things coming out of you. They are either black, white, a little blue or pure red. If by chance you are like me and can't afford to buy this now here are some things to use that are a lot cheaper to bring some relief.
GET: from a dollar store buy a strong hand sanitizer. Open it up and smell it. If it smells strong then it's good, garlic - minced in oil from a jar. You can rub this on (AND CONTINUE RUBBING) if it starts to sting its time to scrub the entire body. Hard & soft things will come out. The hard stuff are eggs (like sand grit). Pure aloe from the plant. A lot of supermarkets carry them. Slice them open & scrape out the middle. LOOKS LIKE SNOT! You can rub this on you body - but try a little area first. Some people might be a little more sensitive. Or the combo of ALOE & PURE 100% CLOVE OIL $6.99 IN GNC OR ANY VITAMIN SHOP. Now be careful with this, this stuff is really strong & will burn the skin if you added too much. The rule is per 1 tble spn of a carrier oil (like olive oil) you put 2 drops of clove oil. The aloe doesn't matter how much you use. I put about 50 drops in my HOT bubble bath after rubbing aloe on my entire body & head. You can also do a hot bath with vinegar & salt. I got a set of ear plugs & when the water was decent & put whole body under water except my face & SCRUBBED!! For your face use the hand sanitizer or aloe. Before going to sleep put vaseline all over your face, neck & in your ears & put a smaller amount of a good chest vapor rub around your nose, mouth & some in your ears. This will help keep them out of your face & mouth. GOD BLESS & GOD HELP ANYONE LIKE ME WHO HAS BEEN BATTLING THESE DEMONS. Good luck, if you or anyone has any questions, you can email me@ [email protected]

Oh thank you so much for all of this. I have been fighting these nasty things for 19 months and I have MRSA and the sores these things make are all now MRSA lesions. They just drag the bacteria right in with them. I am almost suiciidal over this stuff. I have been labeled psychotic and delusional. I have been called a liar when I said to 2 different dermatologists that I did not do this to myself and in not so many words I was called a lunatic. I feel as if I can not go on. Living in AZ in the summer is the worst. When I sweat I feel like my skin is on fire and these things bite like demons. I can't take it anymore. I am going to try all of your suggestions in hope of getting my life back! Thanks for the advice! Please feel free to email me at [email protected] with any more tips or advise.. Kelly Mesa, AZ

Wondering if any of you have ever gotten rid of these mites? I am battling them now and going crazy trying different things that seems to work but can't seem to get rid of them altogether. It is exhausting keeping at it and my house is big and old and defies all efforts to really deep clean it. All of these posts are nearly a year old. Are there any success stories?

Wondering if any of you have ever gotten rid of these mites? I am battling them now and going crazy trying different things that seems to work but can't seem to get rid of them altogether. It is exhausting keeping at it and my house is big and old and defies all efforts to really deep clean it. All of these posts are nearly a year old. Are there any success stories?

Most success stories involve getting a professional involved. That can be an entomologist from the Dept. of Agriculture, an exterminator, or a Doctor, depending on what type of parasite you're dealing with. People have been posting on this site for nearly a decade with this homeopathic remedy or that one for "these invisible biting bugs." Until you identify which ones you're dealing with, you will continue to fight the symptoms without dealing with the cause unless you just get lucky.

There are so many different types of biting/stinging/skin-irritating problems no simple answer will cover them all. First, collect a sample if possible. Collection can be as simple as leaving a bowl of warm water on the floor and examining what's on the surface several hours later. White bowls make samples easier to see. You can purchase glue traps made of white pasteboard and adhesive to leave out instead of the water, but pets and kids will want to investigate. Collection can also be as complicated as getting skin scrapings examined by a Dermatologist. I recommend starting with simple. Sorry if that sounds snarky, but this identification is going to be a process.

If samples prove difficult to collect, rule out environmental factors one by one. Dry air can cause skin to slough off, causing itching and small flakes. Damp air can promote mold growth. Static electricity can cause things to zap you without your noticing. Maybe you have some of these factors, maybe you don't, but change your environment, factor by factor, to see what effect the change has.
