Hi, I recently got my period for the second time and my friends are trying to get me to use tampons. They say "ohh, you can barley feel it going in", but really I hurts like HELL! Even when it's not in, it hurts aferwords too. Why dose tampons hurt?

What type are you using? What size?
Tampons shouldn't hurt. You're either using the wrong size for your flow and your body, or you're inserting it incorrectly.
Have you talked to your mom about this?
I went through the same thing. I didn't want to wear pads, and I was going swimming with a group of friends, so I took a tampon from my mom without telling her. It was the super large deluxe tampon, and I was on the last day of my period. I didn't insert it properly, and I was in a lot of pain.
There are tampons made especially for young teens. Talk to your mom about this. That's what I ended up doing, and since then I've used nothing but tampons, and I never had a problem again.

LOL I remember when I was 14, I had my first period and tampons KILLED for quite a few months.
It takes a little time for the body to get used to things once you start menstruating. I used pads for a few months until my body got into the swing of things, then changed over.
Every girl is different so just because your friends can do it now, and you can't means nothing. Take your time, do what feels COMFORTABLE to you for now and try again a bit later down the track.
You've got to remember that your body is fairly new at this - its only your second time! Give it a bit more time to settle into its new rhythm and you'll find, you'll be able to use them just like every one else.
Something to be VERY careful of with tampons - try to get organic cotton or at least 100% cotton and UNBLEACHED. You don't want something like a laundry bleach going into that area of your body - it is very dangerous, no matter what anyone says. Go natural, organic and chemical free tampons and pads if you can.
Good luck! And if you get cramps, rub peppermint oil onto your tummy & hug a hot water bottle.
