It is normal for downloading files to be saved in a temp or download folder until the download is complete. Once complete, the file is copied by the operating system or application to the location that was selected in the save dialog. If a temporary file is being created and it is growing in size over time, the file is being downloaded, perhaps just slowly.

Diagnosing why they are not downloading completely or with acceptable performance will likely take on-site troubleshooting or more information than was provided.

I have exactly the same sound problem with my HP laptop (EliteBook 8440p), there is sound from the headphone jack but not from the speakers.

What worked for me to use a small paper clip, straighten it out to about an inch and a half. I then put it in the headphone jack and poke it round and round until the sound came back on the speakers. You want to do this while continuously playing some kind of music so that when the sound come back on the speakers you can hear it right away.
