Our home is near foreclosure and bank agreed for us to do a short sale or deed in lieu of foreclosurs. My boyfriend and I own the home together and the deed was set up as Grantor - my boyfriend and grantee = me. The grantor, my boyfriend does not want to sell or give up home. What can I do?

This doesn't make sense. The way you are describing the deed, your boyfriend was giving you the deed. Maybe he was giving you a half interest. But as long as he retains an interest in the home, he has to agree to a short sale or deed in lieu.
Ask him how is he going to retain the home if he can't bring the mortgage up to date? Unless he can do that, he is facing a complete loss due to foreclosure. Explain to him that he has three options, bring the mortgage up to date, accept a short sale or deed in lieu, or lose the home to foreclosure.

You can't do anything without him agreeing to it, if you are both on the deed. Can I assume you are split up and no longer boyfriend/girlfriend
