Hi, I have had a confusing month with my period... I'm pretty regular with my periods and they are pretty much like clock work. This month has been different though, my period was due yesterday so you will understand my confusion when I had brown discharge then a light spotting 11days ago for 4hours. Then I got up yesterday morning expecting my period, I had nothing. I got another browny discharge around lunch time then light spotting again which only lasted around 30minutes then that was it until thismorning, I had another brown discharge which has been coming and going very lightly all day and has stopped now... I have taken a pregnancy test and had a negative result. I have had slight cramping but nothing like my usual bad cramps... Can you help? :)

It may just be an off cycle, or your period is about to start. Some women will experience brownish discharge before and/or after a period, and not necessarily every cycle.

If pregnancy is a possibility, it may have been too early for an accurate result. I would wait another week and see what happens. Try another pregnancy test at that time. If still negative, either wait until next month and see if your period is back to normal, or you could check with your doctor for a test there.

Ive still not had my period yet and still cramping slightly, been to the doctors to get checked out for infections etc because I have been going to the loo a lot but everything is fine waiting to hear back from another set of tests. Its very unusual for my period not to come atall, I get them pretty much the same date every month and have done since I had my daughter 5 years ago. Waiting another week or 2 and will do another pregnancy test if the results come back fine from the doctors.
