There is something so horrific going on in a child custody fight between my daughter and her ex-husband. She was in Dec. of 2009 accused of doing drugs and her son was taken away and given to his father.(she had custody)She has taken numerous drug tests and hair tests all negative. The very 1st hair test came back positive and she said she had experimented with drugs when her son was with his father. She told her ex-husband she had tried them and did not like how they made her feel. No UA's came back positive not one.I want to note her ex is a known drug user and has been in rehab in the past. He is a dentist. She was denied all access with her child for a solid 6 months no phone calls nothing.I want to add her ex is with the woman who broke up my daughter's marriage and my grandson was virtually in her care those six months. In September equal custody was awarded. Since then my daughter has been so harassed for unfounded and petty things all to disrupt and cause chaos. The judge and this whole court system is corrupt. I live in smith county Texas. My question is who can we turn to for justice away from this court? If I could only give you the entire story it is beyond belief and my daughter did nothing to warrant any of this and my grandchild is suffering. He is 9.Who can we turn to? This is painful and a travesty beyond belief with no end in sight. All counsellers are on my daughter's side and believe my grandson should stay with his mother. Her ex and his lawyer have made a court order no one could live by. Please please help.It is so heartbreaking. Thank you

Of course, and not to be rude, this is one side of a multi sided story.

But really no where to turn, if your current attorney is not doing good enough try and find another one, but some courts are crooked, some judges narrow minded and there is little you can do

As Chuck said, you are only giving one side of this story. And what I quoted above shows that you are very biased here. First, your daughter admits to experimenting with drugs, then you say she did nothing to deserve what's happening. You don't think experimenting with drugs had a big part in this?

It also seems to me that the fact she regained partial custody shows the courts are (or at least were) being fair.

Does your daughter have an attorney? If she doesn't and the father does, she is going to have problems. She needs representation.

Does the child have a Guardian ad liteum (GAL)? This is someone appointed to represent the child's interests.

Its not clear why you think the court system is corrupt and while there may be things that upset you, they may be according to law. But the bottom line is everything has to be handled through the courts. If you can prove that something is happening that is illegal or unethical, then you can take that proof to the head of the Family Court system. But it better be really good proof.

She experimented with drugs. How can you say she did nothing to warrant "any of this"? She stopped using because she didn't like the way they made her feel? If she had liked the feeling I presume she'd still be using...

The "ex" and his lawyer didn't make the Court Order. A Judge did.

What counsellors? Court appointed? Is there a law guardian appointed for the child? What does that person say?
