I am 7 weeks and 6 days pregnant and started spotting this morning. It was light and stopped within the first couple of hours, the dr gave me a pelvic exam and said that my cervix was closed so I am not having a miscarriage. Which was a huge relief, I've had two miscarriages so far so this is my 3rd pregnancy. I am back home from the hospital but I am experiencing cramping and even cramping in my vagina which I thought was strange because I've never felt it before.

Any clue as to why I am feeling this pain ? I am worried about this feeling in my vagina, it is uncomfortable and what is the reason for this pain in my private part ? I am scared I am having a miscarriage but DR said my cervix is closed so I guess not? So confused and wishing for some comfort, any OB help please?

The person who asked is the Physician who examined you. He/she didn't say anything about the pain?

No they didn't tell me what the pain was because I haven't experienced it until after I got back from the hospital

It is quite likely due to the exam you had. If it becomes worse, and if you start to have any bleeding (spotting may be expected, again due to the exam) check back with them. In the meantime, you can try relaxing in a warm bath and just take it easy for the rest of the day.

Some spotting and light cramping can be normal in early pregnancy, but it is always wise to let your doctor know about it.

Thanks a lot, and I am hoping it is just that. If it was even just the beginning of a miscarriage my cervix would have been open a little bit right ? I pray everything goes right
Thanks again for all of your help

It is perfectly understandable that you would be concerned. Try your best to just take it easy for a few days. Most likely you will start to feel more comfortable, and at ease, as time goes on.
Wishing you a smooth and enjoyable pregnancy... :)
