View Full Version : Is the character Nikita from 'Nikita' a japanese woman?

I have just started watching the new TV series 'Nakita' and I found myself wondering if the character Nikita is Japanese. It may have been mentioned during the episodes, but if so I obviously haven't been paying good enough attention. Keep in mind the question is referring to the character, not the actor.

Nikita is a russian name if you are going by that.

It would seem if you go based on this:

And read about the original 1990 movie, the character is probably French.
I actually thought you were talking about the first remake of this movie La Femme Nikita. I didn't realize there was another one... starring Maggie Q no less.
