My 5 year old pit boxer has been having accidents in the house and she has been potty trained without any accidents in years and has started to have accidents before getting anyone's attention that she needs to go outside. I have noticed that she has been tinkling red blood spots for a few weeks now and the past two days I have noticed this long bloody string of blood coming out of her vagina when she was trying to finishing to urinate. She was struggling and changing positions repeatedly until she finally detached it from her vagina. She then walked a few steps forward and started pushing out another 3-4 inches of another bloody mucus.

Is she spayed?
Please take her to a vet!

What has the vet said? Have they recommended any treatment?

There's no way for us to give you a diagnosis. If she's not spayed, she could just be in heat, but if she's uncomfortable, I'd bet that's not all that's going on.
If she is spayed then this could be anything from a bladder infection to internal bleeding, or worse.
She needs a vet.

That sounds like pyometra or a very nasty UTI.
Would you honestly be asking questions on the internet if this were happening to you? You need to take her in to see the doctor. I'm sure she is very uncomfortable.

I am just going to echo all the other posters here. If it is pyometra there is no at home treatment for this. You need to take her to the vet asap.

If she isn't spayed, it could also be a miscarriage? Da Vet sounds like a plan, even if she is spayed.
