I. Recently had a child 6 months ago, and of course I had a heavy and long lasting period after that. The problem is I have only spotted since then. Now about 2 weeks ago I started a real period again, but it hasn't stopped yet. Help! Is this normal?

Have you had continuous spotting or bleeding since giving birth or have you had only spotting about the time you would expect a period each month? Did you, or are you, breastfeeding? Are you using any sort of hormonal birth control?

It could be your body still adjusting depending on some of the other circumstances, in which case it may be normal. Certainly since it causes you concern, it merits a phone call to your doctor.
