Can a cellphone mess up a gift card, creditcard etc? Because I want to keep my time card for work (the type you slide through a machine) in my cell phone case but I have heard stories about cell phone messing up the card from being stored next to it. Will my phone mess up the card?

It should not, but being realistic, it is a time card, if it diid get messed up, HR merely issues a new one?
