I have a yard machine 42" cut w/ the Briggs & Stratton 16.5hp OHV engine that won't start.
I had the battery & starter tested & they work.
I changed the 30A clip fuse bt the solenoid.
I get a click when key starting.
I jumped across the solenoid & get a spark & click but doesn't start.
I jumped directly from that battery & also the car's battery to the starter & it still doesn't start(my car is not the best for jump starting-has a side post battery).
Any other things to try?

Spin the motor backwards by hand , then see if it will crank.

It was the ground going to the solenoid - just a hair loose.
