My son is at kindy and is nearly 5 - his kindy teacher is very surprised at his reading level for his age - comparing it to that of an 8 year old and is the only one in his class that reads. He is also very into maps and has a fantastic recall when it come to facts about countries, capitals, flags etc. His kindy teacher thinks that he may fall into the gifted catergory - I would really just like to know what I dealing with! Can anyone help as to info about how to get him tested or is there any tests on line that may indicate whether he is just bright or exceptionally so.

You would need to go through the school to get his IQ tested unless you want to pay a pretty penny for private testing.

Speak to his teacher. And the school psychologist.
