I'm buying this Farm that has county water that supplies the house, but the outside has a well. I know nothing about wells and tanks. This is my first home with a well. I use the well to water my Animals/garden.I don't know how deep the well is, The tank is a Well-X-Trol by Amtrol, Model #22211804, WX-202, and the pump is Submersable , There are 4 wires going in the well,(sorry but that's all I know about it). I have read that it's should have a pop off valve and a shut off with a gauge, it has nothing but 1" pipes that go from the well and out to the hydrant. When I first started there was very little water coming out of the Hydrant witch is about 3 feet from the well. I turned the nut on the Pressure valve and I have more water but no pressure. You could put your finger over the end of a hose and stop the water with no effert. The tank has a fitting in the top for a air gauge, I put a air gauge on it and it read 24psi. The distance that I would have to run a hose would be about 100 feet. Please help me.
