It's been 5 weeks since my last period and I took a pregnancy test yesterday and it was negative. My last period was on the 12/4/2011 and I had light pink spotting once on the 29th but only when I wiped. Early onset pregnancy (anything before 6-8 weeks) can still register a negative on home pregnancy tests. It is also possible to continue with light periods or heavy spotting during your entire gestation. If you continue to have these symptoms with or without further home tests, please see a doctor.
