When I divorced my ex in may 2003 we had a mobile home which was in my name only because they would not put it in his name, when I left him I said he could live in the trailor as long as he made the payments, in the divorce decree it states that I have a vested right to the mobile home if he gets 60 days behind, well he is behind and remarried and has moved out and is renting the trailor out and not making payments. We live 1000 miles apart so it is hard for me to see what is going on. Greentree is after me now to make payments 3 months worth. I don't have the money. It also states in the divorce deree that he was to get in into his name within 30 days he never did. I know I'm responsible because it is in my name. Do I have any legal rights ? Even if I could make payments he has people living there I won't give them a free ride. Should I let it go back ? I need all the advise I can get. Thanks.

You need to consult an attorney. This is a very dicey situation to say the least. Yes, your ex is ruining your credit and you cannot let this go any further. Usually, attorneys do not charge for an initial consultation. Find one in your area that handles divorce or real estate issues. They will guide you as to you next step. You will probably have to file paperwork/claims against your ex in the area that the trailer is in.

Good luck.

You will have to sue him to a) get the payments you will have to make to keep your credit and b) for violation of the divorce agreement for not transferring the title and loan.
