My ex husband and I have 2 children together and he has always paid child supoport but one of the children just got put in a Rsidental Treatment Facility and may be there for a year or more. Would the fathers child support stop since the child is not living in the home with the mother. I have t drive 2hrs one way on Saturdays and Sundays to see my child and still have to providehim with things he needs such as clothing shampoo conditioner and take him food when I go and visit him every weekend.

If you are still providing support for the child, then yes support payments should continue. He might file for a modification based on the change in circumstances, but it would depend on the full circumstances as to whether the courts grant the change.

Agree, it will just depend, are you having to pay the facility ?
I would see that perhaps he could ask the court to modify the current order to make it less, since the child is no longer full time. But this will be the issue the court will have to decide
