I have a whirlpool condenser dryer, it has started to make a grinding noise when it turns clockwise, its fine on the anticlockwise. Has anyone got any ideas please?
Many Thanks

There are two things that I have seen that will do that: (1) a screw between the drum and felt pad seals on the front or rear of the drum on the inside. Take a flashlight and look around the rear and front edges of the drum where they meet the front and rear panels on the drier. You may find a coin or screw or another foreign object. (2) A screw holding down motor is loose. Try to see where noise is coming from. You will need to take drier apart to see this problem. The only other thing that it may be is a bad bearing. Only taking it apart will answer your question, but it's not hard to do; just look on YouTube. DrTom4444
