I am 16 years old and my boyfriend is 18. We have been dating for 9 months and I still really love him but he doesn't want to be together because of my controlling parents. He wants me to move out but I cant. I know he's not the greatest boyfriend, in fact he's usually a jerk and is very very controlling. But I lost my virginity to him and can't let him go. I have great times with my friends when he's not around and I have fun without him. I Just don't know why I can't let him go. Please help I wish I could get over him and move on with my life :( we haven't actually broken up yet because whenever he breaks up with me I make him stay by telling him everything will workout. What do I doooo? :'(

We all go through this at least once in our lives (usually more) and now its your turn.
You know that this isn't the guy you want to be with! You know 100% that this is true and what your afraid of is being alone and going through that heartache and the process of getting over a person and learning to live without them... theres nothing wrong with that! Your human! And it's a pain in the *** having to face the music, but you have to do it.
You need to be strong, you need to end it and stick to it, your going to find another guy in time. What scares you is... when? You think this is the only guy out there for you? He's not, your only 16 there's plenty of time, stick to no contact and have all the fun you want with your friends

The guy doesn't love you really... and its better if you break up for if he loved you he would not mind your parents much...

Sorry to say but you need to move on, I know it may be hard at first but he seems like a bit of a jerk, he is only using you for one think only and that's what boy's only want at his age.
It may be difficult at first but you will get there and you are going to meet someone much better
Good luck :)
