Dryer will run but not heat.

You need to confirm that you have 240 volts going to the dryer first. It can run on 120V but needs 240V to heat. The most likely cause here, though, is the thermal cut off on the heater. Remove the lower front panel and you will find it attached to the heater housing at the left rear. If you have no volt/ohmeter you can remove the two wires and jump them together, insulate them and get them out of the way. Now if you have heat when it runs, you know that that is the problem. The cut off and the hi-limit thermostat which is at the front left of the heater are replaced as a kit. Part number is 11066922500 and it is called a Thermal Cut-off Fuse Kit. Runs around $32.00 from Sears. That cut off is like a one time fuse. If it is out you need to check you venting as it is probably restricted and causing the heater to be too hot.
