Desperate to find movie title from the 70th.Starts with a guy who replaces catfood in the tin to foll his cat.Crime story.Recently used in a catfood ad.

This is the 1973 Robert Altman movie "The Long Goodbye", starring Elliott Gould and based on Raymond Chandler's Marlowe stories.
