My boyfriend and I have been dating for over a year. He was perfect. He helped me with school, we spent evry waking moment together and we're in love. We've even talked about marriage and starting a life together. He was the man of my dreams up until a week ago. My friend confronted me about things he had supposedly been sending to this girl. This said girl and my boyfriend became friends just this year. They have a lot in common and I have to admit on occasion I had my slight suspesions but never thougt much of it. But my friend came up to me and told me this girl told her that my boyfriend had told her he was in love with her, and that he always told her she was beautiful and that he had loved her since last year. Well my heart of course immediately broke. I told him to meet me at my house to talk about it, and when I asked him about it he denied everything. He said they had hung out at the mall once, that she had tried to kiss him, but that he had retracted. He said he was sorry he didn't tell me, but he didn't think it was important. So believed him, because after a year I built up trust for him. But then that night my friend and that girl called me telling me about her side of the story. " We were in the car and he told me he really wanted to kiss me, but he just hugged me instead and
'caresed my cheek, and "touched me"" Hearing that of courde sent me throgh a whirl wind of emotions. He called me up and i confronted him about it and he denied it all, and stayed on the phone with me all night comforting me. So the next day i go to school with him as normal, still feeling sick inside unsure with who was telling the truth and who was lying, because i knew both stories couldn't be true. Throughout 1st period my boyfriend kept looking at me , and i was pretty upset. then outside of first he asked me "Would you just feel better if I told you it was all true?"
and i said " If it's true."
and he said " It's true"
I walked away from him barely able to breath. His friend gave me a note in 3rd period explaining what exactly happened. " I was attracted to her, and told her I liked her, but took it back in the same day and told her to her face that I was in love with you"
I told him we needed a break, and he burst out in tears telling me he was sorry and that he loved me, and that he was so stupid. I comforted him, because seeing this sad face he wore was terrible for me. We're still on a break, but I don't know if I should go out with him again. I'm still in love with him, but what he did hurt bad, and he lied to my face. I never though he was that kind of person what should I do?

p.s he deleted all contact with her, and they hate each other. He promises he's learned from his mistake and that he'll never do this aagin.

I can't say I had the same problem, but something quite similar! All I got to say is when me and my boyfriend had our rough patch, we talked about it.. all of it. I think that if he deleted all contact with her, that means he really wants to try and work things out.. Good luck hon. :)

I have to ask, how old are the two of you? Obviously you're young, you say you're still in school.

You're likely teens. Teen love comes and goes. It's not likely that the two of you will end up together. That's just a statistical fact. So, sooner or later one of you is going to break it off, either because of trust issues (which are already present in the relationship) or because one of you falls for someone else (already happened once in this relationship) or one of you is no longer into the other (happened already, apparently for only one day).

So, it's not a question of should you two break up, it's a question of when.

You don't trust him, that's obvious. No trust, no relationship. That's just the way it is.
