So I just found out the guy I am seeing has gential warts I realize that this is a life long thing he will have and that he can pass it to me by protected and unprotected sex. I have not been intimate with him yet and I see myself being with him but my questions are:

Am I guaranteed to get HPV from him if we do decided to have sex or is there times where we can have sex and it won't be passed to me?

If he is getting the treatment then does that mean I can have sex with him after treatment is done and the warts are gone and I won't get it or will I still get it.


I am very scared because I really like him but haven't been with him long enough to know if I am willing to take the chance of getting HPV.

HPV may or may not be lifetime. Most is eliminated by the immune system, but there is no way to know in advance. You could ask your doctor about taking Gardasil.
