My husband is a caterer & order a bulk box of boneless lamb for a function. He roasted the lamb then cut some to taste. He bit into a piece and had a lot of pain. He had chewed on a small bone. Rang the dentist, closed on weekends, had to do the function that night. Unfortunately he spat the meat & bone out into the bin, not thinking that anything major would follow. Sunday more pain, Monday dentist, tooth shattered in 6 pieces, 1 hour at dentist for extraction, now needs an implant. Estimated cost $5000
Contacted the manufacturer of the meat, not helpful, doesn't know what to say. Finds our claim hard to believe, said something from our kitchen probably fell into the rolled boneless lamb. Said he would get back to us tomorrow.

I don't see a question here but I am "guessing" you want to know how to proceed. I'm a liability investigator and these cases are very difficult to prove. The problem is your lack of proof - without the meat/bone you are in a bad position to sue (if that is what you are considering).

The company's insurance company might offer to pay something - but I'd be surprised.
