Hi,
I am looking for a 1953 Silver Certificate. This is for sentimental reasons. At my husband, Jim's, birth his aunt gave him a 1953 Silver Certificate. Later, we lost the certificate and I's like to replace it. How do I know one is authentic and does any reputable person have one? Deb Weber

What is the face value that you are looking for?
Was it $1, $2, $5, $10?.
You'll find lots of them at eBay from reputable sellers. Check out this link: http://shop.ebay.com/?_from=R40&_trksid=p5197.m570.l1313&_nkw=1953+silver+certificate&_sacat=See-All-Categories
You'll find that they are not expensive. You'll pay anywhere from a bit more than face value to a few times face value depending on the condition.
BE SURE that you are looking at the right face value and date, when reviewing the listings.

eBay sellers have them in various prices and conditions:
5 silver certificate items - Get great deals on Coins Paper Money, DVDs Movies items on eBay.com! (http://shop.ebay.com/?_from=R40&_trksid=p5197.m570.l1313&_nkw=%245+silver+certificate&_sacat=See-All-Categories)
If the seller has sold lots of stuff and has 100% good feedback, then you're pretty safe, in my opinion, to be sure you're buying a legit bill.
