I am 36 weeks pregnant and at my last doctors visit I was told they think I might have preeclampsia. My blood pressure had been normal and constant through my whole pregnancy, but when last taken at the visit it was 150 over 90.. they double checked it just to make sure they were getting the right reading about 30 minutes later but it hadn't gone down. So they put me on bedrest. Today after fallowing bed rest ( which omgosh is it hard! ) I took my blood pressure again. It was 122 over 83.. I was told that the bottom number is still high for just watching a movie and doing nothing... is this true?

It's slightly on the high side, but considering you are 36 weeks pregnant and have an extra couple of liters of blood, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

It is normal to have high blood pressure in a doctor's surgery, just being there can be stressful. Keep an eye on it at home when you are calm.

Pre-eclampsia is bad, but at least you are almost full term, so if you have to deliver early, it shouldn't cause any serious problems.
