I issued a check for paying the property tax to the government. But after a week only they processed it, when I had low balance in my account. The check got bounced now. What will happen? And what I need to do now?

Ok, does not matter if they cashed it that day, you are suppose to balance your check book and not write a check if there is not that much money in the bank, and then you don't spend money that is not in the bank.

But your taxes are not paid, so you will need to contact them, make arrangements to go in ( most likely they will want money order or cash this time) to cover the check and the fees for a bad check. ( will vary most likely 30 to 50 dollars additoinal) Plus of course the fees at the bank for bad check.
