Optical drives do not have drivers anymore and Windows uses its own generic ones 99% of the time. Often, if an application crashes while using the drive, it can corrupt the drivers. Simply go into Device Manager and under DVD/CD-Rom Drives find your optical drive and tell it to uninstall (right click). Then reboot the PC and windows will reinstall the generic drivers from scratch. Protools can come in both Windows and Mac Versions as well as a Hybrid version (both Mac and Windows on one disk). If you download the trial version of Ultraiso and open the disk with that, you will see if it's a hybrid or mac or what. If Ultraiso cannot open it, then the disk may not have been created properly or may be damaged.
