Have you ever been arrested and / or convicted of a crime, if no, then nothing will show up.
There are also dozens of "types" of searches, one is of course you go to the local police department or the one in your area that does these searches, pay a fee and they hand you a print out of your record.
But many companies use private search firms that also search private records that often can contain other info on you

Go to your local Police Department, or to the State Police headquarters in your area and they will provide you with the correct form, for doing a records check. If you ain't ever been convicted of a crime, or DUI, or Domestic Violence, then don't waste your time. Just let the Employer run the check themselves, and don't sweat it... But now on the other hand, if you have ever been charged and convicted for a crime, or crimes, then you can bet your hind-end it will show up... So you really don't need to run a check on yourself at all, you know if a judge ever said the words, 'THIS COURT FINDS YOU GUILTY"... LOL... THAT'S YOUR ANSWER..
