How many days will it take if I took a paternity test in court to receive the results?

Where? I've seen tests back in days and I've seen it take just over a month. Depends on how busy the lab is, how long it takes to run the test, how long it takes to get the results to the Court (or to you, if that is the practice).

In court a free paternity test, and I received a letter that still really gives me no result, why?

I assume what happened was a technician took a DNA sample from you in the courtroom. Probably an inner cheek swab.
So please answer our questions. First what state? Second, why were you in court in the first place, is someone filing for child support against you or are you asking for custody of a child? Third, exactly when was the test taken? Fourth, what EXACTLY did the letter say? Finally, what did the judge say about whatever case you are involved in?

Locally here, you have to go to a Lab and have a test made. It is not done in court, but by court order. Locally here it takes about 4 weeks for it to come back

Yes, the DNA test was an inner cheek swab. In Florida. I was there because someone is filing child support against me so I am seeking results. The test was taken the last week of January and its been almost 2 months. The letter addressed the date I went to court and another two dates. Please give me your feedback and thanks.

Have you called the court to ask what has happened? 2 months sounds like a long time. Did they tell you they would be sending you the results of the test or did they state where the results were going to be sent to ?

Yes, did they in fact tell you that YOU would get the results are were they sent to the court ? But I agree, you should be contacting the court clerk to follow up with what has taken so long

I have not contacted the court but, how long does it usually take to do a court ordered DNA test which was done free sent back to you? They said they would be sending back the results but, still nothing.
