I'm 53 and my hair has been colored for at least 35 yrs. First just to do it for fun then I started greyin g prematurely and continued to die it. I have brown hair but I'm sick of the roots constantly showing the hair color does last long at all. I've been doing just the roots and decided that light brown would be much better than the color I've had which was a med to dark. It's now much lighter but I look a little like a rainbow. I can't get the rest of my hair obviously to be as light as my roots because it has the other dye. Can I some how stresk it light er here and there so it starts to blend in with the roots. My hair is ver dry, I've a good 4 inches off. I do not have heavy thick hair but it also is not straight so it looks like more. I used to havre shiny nice hair but with all the dying and I'm sure my age it's bone dry and I try everything what do you suggest? One I get it a lighter brown I will stick with it and just do the roots
