I was recently fined a large sum of money over a dirving offence but I'm only on job seekers allowence. Am I intitled to help to pay these fines ?

No, you broke the law and have to pay for it, there is not welfare to help pay for things they do wrong.

I don't expexct you as an american to understand the current financial situation in ireland. I have a masters in arts and I'm in the process of becoming a school teacher. 40%percent of people my age who were once employed are now in oz trying to make a living. So I would think if you are an edcuated man you would see that its not that people won't work they cant!! An this government think by issuing massive fines like mine they will get out of this financial rut but NO! All they are doing is making the poor poorer an the rich richer! And I am not lookinfor money to be handed to me I'm simpely wondering if I can pay in instalments on have it taken from my payments every week. And I would tink ist time you came off that power trip.
