I purchased a used 2006 bmw 325i I put $5000 down on it and one week later had to spend $1800 in the car for work that needed to be done. I live in GA can I do anything to the dealership I bought the car from.

What does your contract say?
Did you have the work done at the same dealer?
Have you brought this to the attention of the dealer if not?
Each state has their own lemon laws for new and used cars from both dealers and private parties.
Days are very limited so check them ASAP.

I'm sorry, GA's lemon law covers new cars only. Sorry. Try Small Claims. What was the problem and work done? How many miles on the car? What was the total price?

Was there any kind of warranty included with the car

So you brought it in for the hose leak? Not to the dealer, because it leaked and you needed a garage nearby right away?
You may have been taken on the rear brakes and rotors, and how do you buy a car and not know if you need a tire or not? And why would a week old car bought at a dealer need an oil change?
I think you are believing anything a repair shop tells you.
You still haven't said where you brought it for repair.
If anything, you got taken by some repair shop, not the dealer.

Unfortunately BMW stands for Bring My Wallet(LOL). Joypulv is right, GA only has a lemon law for new cars. Federal law requires the dealer to post what, if anything, is covered under repair.

My service light came on and I bought the car to the bmw dealership not just to any local garage. My service light came on indicating I need brakes and when I bought it in ti see about the brake light the bmw dealership found all the above mentioned issues. I purchased an extended warranty which covered the leaking hose but not the other things.

I would try talking to them about it if they won't work with you then I would definitely go talk to a lawyer that handles this type of case and get his advice. I understand that you would be s.o.l if you bought it from a individual but buy from a dealership and it breakdown less than a week later. I don't think that is right. Anyway I wish you good luck with it

I am sorry, it is obvious you did not even have the car inspected by a certified mechanic prior to buying it.
*** did you even have the tires pulled, and anything checked by someone ?

If you bought it with a warranty, you take it back
** although hoses, brakes and tires are not warranty issues, those are things anyone would see or know if they even looked close at the car.

Next if you bought it like most used cars, "as is" and if "as is" is on the sales paper, you can do nothing and are only wasting money trying to.

Ga is very clean, you are to inspect the car before buying it

I purchased a car in Feb and out 5k down on it, after having it one it needed 1800 worth of work done on it. My car not is due on the 7th of each month and I was told I had a 10 day grace period before accessing late fees. I have been paying my car not after the 7, but by the 17th. We were in Ala visiting for 3 days when the repo man came to get the car and we were told by the repo man it was being repoed due to suspenpeded license and no insurance. So the next morning I called the finance company and faxed over proof that I had valid license and I have always had insurance on the car, they told me the car is going back to the dealership and they don't want to fiancé the car anymore for me to find someone to fincance the car for me. My payment was due on the 7th and the repoed it on the 12. I also told to manager that they had no grounds to repo the car due to no insurance and suspened license because I had proof either way true, then he tells me I took the car out of state and they felt like their property was at risk, I told him I never knew I couldn't take my car out of GA to visit other people. That's when he tells me it was repoed for non payment. This is when I told him about the 10 day grace period and I can show cancel checks and western union receipts that I have made my payements by the 17th which was my 10 day grace period. Is there anything I can do. I live in GA the finace company is in GA and they only finanace one dealership in GA and now the dealership have my car about to sell it to someone else. I have put almost $7k into the care
