Hello,

I have a 1996 Honda Civic. The engine takes a little time before cranking over and actually turning on. Every time I give the car gas, the car would either rev or the engine would start to stutter and turn off. This also happens when I'm at a stop and then proceed to give the engine gas. I have tried replacing the Fuel Filter, but the problem still persists. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

When is the last time you cleaned the fuel injectors? If you can't remember then try that first if no codes are appearing on your car.

I recommend using a can of gumout with a full tank of gas after using a product called seafoam. You put it directly into the engine. Follow the instructions on the can. It works wonders without having to tear anything down. Be sure to drive the car through different throttle patterns after you run the seafoam so it has a chance to burn off.

Replace the Ignition Control Module (ICM) and coil:
