I have a double sink with a garbage disposal and two stubs coming out of the wall. Do I hook both sinks into the same drain? If so top or bottom? Why are there two stubs out of the wall? I am not a plumber and the one I hired for the job quit his company and will not return. His company will not return to finish the work either ( Bad business).

Hi Hodko...

With what you describe I have to figure that the bottom pipe is for the WASTE and the top pipe is for the VENT.

You would pipe your double sink up as I have drawn below... see image.

To confirm this, you would be best to post a picture of the pipes, OK?

Let me know what you think...

Im thinking one is for a cleanout and the other is for the drain, if they are both stubbed out of the sheetrock. Can you tell us what height each pipe is at from the floor. Marks drawing shows how it should be piped. However, the garbage disposal does not need to 90 down, it can just go straight into a tubular tee, same as if you didn't have a garbage disposal. If you can confirm heights of pipes, we should be able to tell you which one to use for the drain.

A pic would help immensely here.
