I have sets of B (normal eye sight) and b (colour blind) statistics through 3 generations, but I have to work back from oldest generation to next generation and figure the inherited gene, anyone can help please?

Hi josie, I think it is a little more complicated then just working back to locate the inherited gene. I do believe you will need DNA from everyone in your living family and possibly DNA from some who aren't alive.
Do you have a lab working with you at the present time ?

My suggestion is to wait until your tutor marks TMA05 for you; asking for help on here could very easily be construed as cheating by the Open University. Learner Support Services have been notified, and everyone on the S104 Facebook group is very disappointed. For those of us working very hard on their assignments, bending the rules like this is unacceptable and unfair.

Guess allison knows more than we do??
But yes, while the text book makes it sound simple to trace genes , in real life it is not as easy as it makes it sound, and the tracking for charting purpose is of course not person specific which often has many other variations.

Thank you for that, I only like to check if I am on right track or missing something a little over my head. Will continue to ask you guys, not that Allison is interested, but I ask after I have done the work and submitted it . Thanks, again
